We are a portuguese software team. Our name is Horizon Software Development. The main objective of Horizon is to create a team with programmers from all over the world in order to build a operating system fast, powerful, eficient and easy to use. Horizon exist since 6th of June of 1998, the responsibles for this to happen were Ricardo Pereira and T�nia Pinh�o. Only later Sandra Resende, Lu�s Ribeiro, Pedro Azevedo and Vitor Chitas joined in.
Horizon is always thinking in the users, what users need and want to use. We do this by asking people that have computers or some knowlegment what they like to use and what programs would make their work easier.
We don't like big companies because they don't think in users only want to make money. When we make programs we only have four things in mind: eficiency, power, speed and the user.
At the moment Horizon isn't a commercial company, is just a software team that
works for free, only counting with the sacrifice of programmers, testers,
assistants, etc from all over the world. Maybe in the future Horizon will be a
commercial company, which is our objective. But we won't change our way to do
things.
